At the heart of Nordic Noir lies its most distinctive feature: the “eerie board,” a custom-built sound board designed to create raw, unsettling textures. This handcrafted instrument is a chaotic assembly of screws, rusty springs, bent metal sheets, and nails — each element chosen for its ability to produce unpredictable resonances and metallic overtones. Recorded through high-sensitivity piezo pickups, the eerie board delivers an unfiltered, organic sound that feels alive.
