FROM CALYPSO TO FLAMENCO
Gypsy is your ticket to realistic, nuanced performances of all the major instruments found in a conventional ensemble of travelling performers. Great care was taken to iron out every performance to get the right blend of legato transitions, nimble finger work, and expression from every musician. If you’re a film, TV or game composer or simply enjoy adding eclectic instruments and styles to your compositions, the nylon guitar, violin and trombone can all play in both Gypsy and Classical styles, offering you creative flexibility. You also have multiple articulations, round robin playback and true legato to vary every passage and make each instrument sound as close to a live recording as possible.
AN ENTIRE GYPSY BAND AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
There has never been such a detailed sample library dedicated specifically to a gypsy ensemble, despite so much untapped potential for media composing and songwriting. If you’re the type of writer who wants complete access to every possible instrument available around the world and incorporate vastly different styles into your music, Gypsy is simply a must-have sample library. There are no sophisticated technical underpinnings here; you simply load up the instrument of your choice, which has already been treated with the best settings for the vast majority of use cases. Gypsy’s ease of use cannot be overstated, but it makes no sacrifices in realism and recording quality to achieve it.
BANDONEON
The bandoneon was developed in Germany and was later used in Argentina, where it became the symbol of Tango. It’s a soft accordion with doubled octaves, perfectly suited for soft melodic passages.
CAMPANA ACCORDION
An Italian version of the accordion, the campana accordion has that classic accordion sound, with large note stacks and capable of broad chords. This one performs well in both solo and ensemble settings.
CIMBALOM
An Eastern European large hammer dulcimer with a 5-octave range and piano-like strings, the cimbalom is designed to provide soft chord beds to support ballads and quieter passages.
CLASSICAL GUITAR
Calming and nimble, this classical nylon guitar is the best sounding concert guitar we’ve heard. It’s ideal for mellower flamenco or Spanish music, ballads and solo pieces.
DJANGO GUITAR
A slightly hollower tone than its Classical counterpart, with a slight twang for added personality in solo passages, the django guitar has lots of jazz chords as well as a lead articulation.
EXCELSIOR ACCORDION
Very lyrical, with a subtle chorusing effect that gently swells with each note, this Italian excelsior accordion is best suited to quieter passages that allow it space to breathe.
FLAMENCO DANCER
Full of foot stomps and traditional castanets, this collection is nimble and designed to provide a distinctly human element to the percussion section.
FLAMENCO GUITAR
Best suited for melodic runs and crisp strumming, this flamenco guitar is incredibly agile and evokes the spirit of virtuosic nylon performances.
GYPSY PERCUSSION
A range of tambourine, clacks, shakers and chants to support the groove, this collection makes it easy to create the sound of an entire percussion ensemble.
SILVESTRI ACCORDION
An American accordion with a classic sound called upon for ballads, sea shanties, and a range of lyrical styles.
TROMBONE
Highly nimble for solo performances, this trombone adds a mellow and earthy touch to an ensemble of strings and percussion.
VIOLIN
One of the most coveted solo violins in the sample library industry, it allows you to create a convincingly nuanced performance in classical, jazz, gypsy, and tango styles.
